UPCOMING FILM: EL VESTIDO
El Vestido marks Belén Rueda’s long-awaited return to horror cinema (The Orphanage, The Sea Inside, Julia’s Eyes) and will hit theatres in Spain on February 13, distributed by AF Pictures.
Belén Rueda stars as Alicia, a woman who moves into a new house with her daughter Carla (Vera Centenera), only to uncover a disturbing pattern: several families who previously lived there suffered inexplicable tragedies—especially the young girls. The mystery appears to be linked to an old blue dress that connects Carla to the ghost of a girl who lived in the house decades ago.
The cast also includes Elena Irureta and Belén Écija. (The film is directed by Jacob Santana.
Synopsis
After a painful divorce, Alicia and her daughter Carla move into an old house hoping for a fresh start. Soon, however, they discover that the house hides a dark past—a chain of tragedies repeating itself generation after generation. Carla, struggling to find her place in the world, begins to sense that something is deeply wrong within the house. As strange events escalate, Alicia grows increasingly paranoid, fearing that her daughter may be responsible. But the truth is far more terrifying: Alicia is the one losing control… or worse, perhaps she never had it at all.
