BR: Frankenstein’s Bloody Terror (3-D)
Get ready to sink your teeth into one of Eurohorror’s most legendary cult classics—finally restored and reborn in all its gory 3-D glory. Frankenstein’s Bloody Terror (originally La marca del Hombre Lobo) arrives on Blu-ray courtesy of Kino Cult, offering fans a long-awaited opportunity to experience Paul Naschy’s lycanthropic masterpiece like never before.
This 1968 gothic monster mash marks the debut of Naschy’s iconic werewolf antihero, Waldemar Daninsky—a role he would go on to reprise in over a dozen films. Bitten by a werewolf and desperate for a cure, Daninsky turns to a pair of mysterious occultists. But his supposed saviors, played with eerie flair by Julián Ugarte and Aurora de Alba, turn out to be vampires with sinister plans of their own. To survive, Daninsky must embrace the beast within—and unleash a supernatural showdown for the ages.
Newly mastered in 4K from surviving 35mm elements of the U.S. release (despite some unavoidable decomposition), this long-lost treasure has been meticulously restored by the 3-D Film Archive. The Blu-ray presents the film in both stereoscopic 3-D (for compatible players and monitors) and anaglyph format—with a pair of red/green glasses included, so you can enjoy the monstrous mayhem right out of the box.
