Movistar Plus+ dives into psychological horror with The Nameless (Los Sin Nombre), an unsettling new original series premiering in full on June 26. Directed by Pau Freixas and co-created with Pol Cortecans, this dark thriller is an adaptation of the acclaimed novel by British horror master Ramsey Campbell, and is produced in collaboration with Filmax.
Starring Miren Ibarguren (Supernormal, Arde Madrid), Rodrigo de la Serna (Money Heist, The Motorcycle Diaries), and Milena Smit (The Platform 2, Parallel Mothers), the series explores trauma, loss, and the supernatural in a gripping, emotionally charged narrative.
The series is based on the film of the same name, The Nameless (Los sin nombre), directed by Jaume Balagueró in 1999. Inspired by Ramsey Campbell’s acclaimed novel, the original movie became a landmark in Spanish horror cinema.
Synopsis:
Claudia’s world collapsed the day her daughter Ángela disappeared under traumatic circumstances. Years later, just as she begins to rebuild her life, a chilling phone call shakes her to the core:
“Mom, it’s me, Ángela. Please come find me.”
Could her daughter still be alive?
Determined to uncover the truth, Claudia turns to Salazar, the inspector who led the initial investigation, and Laura, a young woman whose life was once saved by Ángela—a child with a mysterious gift. Together, they follow a trail through eerie locations and long-buried secrets that lead them to a terrifying reality.
