NEW TV SERIES: THE NAMELESS
“THE NAMELESS,” a new original Movistar Plus+ series directed by Pau Freixas, premieres in full on June 26. This is not the first time Ramsey Campbell’s chilling novel has been adapted for the screen. In 1999, Spanish director Jaume Balagueró brought The Nameless (Los sin nombre) to life in a psychological horror film.
This past Sunday, the BCN Film Fest hosted the premiere of The Nameless, the latest original thriller series from Movistar Plus+, produced in collaboration with Filmax. The six-episode drama is an adaptation of the novel by renowned British horror author Ramsey Campbell.
In attendance at the premiere were director Pau Freixas, screenwriter Pol Cortecans, executive producer Fran Araújo (Movistar Plus+), Filmax executive producer and deputy director Laura Fernández, and lead cast members Miren Ibarguren, Milena Smit, Susi Sánchez, and Eva Santolaria.
Pau Freixas, creator and director, described the project as:
“The Nameless is a thriller with subtle supernatural touches. While it raises the question of whether miracles exist, what it truly explores is humanity’s deep-rooted need to believe in something greater.”
Fran Araújo, executive producer at Movistar Plus+, added:

Synopsis:
Claudia, a woman devastated by the traumatic loss of her daughter Ángela, begins to heal—until she receives a chilling phone call years later: “Mom, it’s me, Ángela. Please come find me!” This haunting message reignites hope that her daughter might still be alive.
Determined to uncover the truth, Claudia turns to Salazar, the inspector who originally handled the case, and to Laura, a young woman whose life was once miraculously saved by Ángela—a gifted child with a mysterious power. Together, they follow a trail through enigmatic places that conceal a terrifying secret.
