SHORT: ADAM PEIPER

Adam Peper is sci-fi fantasy short film written and directed by Monica Mateo (Deep Blue, Forever Young).

We are set in 2984 when the world and humankind are totally changed. We see an envelope stuffer, one of the thousand tasks depots that fill the inside of the planet, who works tirelessly in what seems to be another day in his grey, drab, monitored and insignificant existence. But this is not another day. This will be his worst nightmare.

According to the director herself the starting point of this story was a personal experience in a job searching site. She imagined her life if she had been chosen for this kind of job and took the idea to the limit.

The envelope stuffer is played by Luis Bermejo (Magical Girl, Fe de Etarras) and his helpless companions Maru Valdivielso (Romasanta, La Caja Kovak), who talks in a strange language, and Octavi Pujades (Sexykiller) always paying attention to the lady in charge.

Apart from the creativeness of the story and the greatness of the FX I would like to call your attention of the work of music by Roly Witherow and the beautiful filmography work done by Willy Jáuregui, who is an old collaborator of Monica’s.
