TRAILER AND POSTER: LA ERMITA
LA ERMITA is latest film by Carlota Pereda (CERDITA) won the Goya Award for Best Fiction Short Film in 2019 with Piggy (2018) and the Méliès d’Or at the Sitges Film Festival in 2022 with the feature film of the same name.
It will be premiered at SITGES fest this year. After that, it will be at cinema theaters since November 17.
SYNOPSIS
Young Emma’s mother is in the advanced stages of a terminal disease. She escapes from the situation by focusing her efforts on communicating with the spirit of a little girl who, she believes, lives in the hermitage in her village. To do so, she turns to Carol, who is rumored to be a medium, in the hope that she will be able to help her achieve her goal. The director of Piggy returns to Sitges with a blend of drama and supernatural horror.
