CALL ME PAUL: NEW DOC ABOUT PAUL NASCHY

The ninth feature film by director Víctor Matellano,  a documentary about the cult classic Spanish werewolf, Paul Naschy, will have its premiere at the Sitges Film Festival. This announcement comes when Naschy would have turned ninety.

Call Me Paul explores the personality and creative character of the legendary Madrid filmmaker Jacinto Molina, who, under the pseudonym Paul Naschy, became a key figure in global fantasy cinema—first as a screenwriter and actor, and later as a director.

With a screenplay by Ángel Sala alongside Matellano himself, the story of Call Me Paul is narrated by the English actress Caroline Munro, who worked with Naschy in Howl of the Devil; American actor Jack Taylor, who shared projects with him like Dr. Jekyll and the Wolfman or The Mummy’s Revenge; producer Sergio Molina, Naschy’s son and co-star of several of his films like Mi amigo el vagabundo or Howl of the Devil; and voice actor Héctor Cantolla, who dubbed Naschy in this film, as he did in most of his movies.
