Trailer: Apocalypse Z: El principio del fin

The upcoming TV series Apocalypse Z: El principio del fin based on Manel Loureiro’s novel has just been announced on Amazon Prime. It is directed by Carles Torrens and written by Ángel Agudo and its main stars are Berta Vázquez, Iria del Río and Francisco Ortiz.

Synopsis: A strange rabies-like disease begins to spread freely across the planet, turning people into extremely aggressive creatures. But Manel has long been living his own apocalypse; he has not yet overcome the loss of his wife in an accident, and he has been a depressed and isolated year from his family, with Lúculo, his cat, as his only company. When the disease gains even greater strength, his sister insists that he leave Vigo and meet with her in the Canary Islands, but the plan fails. Manel has to parapet himself in his house, resorting to his ingenuity and skills to survive. However, he and Luculus are soon pushed out, and will meet, on land and at sea, with unlikely but essential travel companions. Apocalypse Z: The beginning of the end is the story of mourning, of a journey of survival, both physical and emotional, with action, tension, rabies-infected, a little blood… And a nasty cat.
