COMIC: SUPERSONIC MAN COMPENDIO

By Elena Anele (*)

It has just been released a comic book in Spanish which reunites the 4 issues of Supersonic Man magazines. This new volume is called Supersonic Man Compedio and it’s been made by Héctor Caño aka Eneasbeat.

It includes the first episode, in which the original playful innocent craziness we could find in JP Simon’s flick is reflected and at the same time, Caño creates a new story that will surprise and delight all fans. It is an adventure portrayed in a classic style that remains of cult standards from the 80s which fantasy elements seemed to be taken from vintage episode collections but with a Spanish touch as now our hero is leaving the city he once belonged to in order to… NO SPOILER! I must admit this is the most international episode of all as in the rest many Spanish features will appear.

We can also find some texts on the comic and the character, some reflections on his new adventure that will guide us through the narrative.

If you haven’t read the latest issue called Un Hombre Solo contra el España yet you are lucky. Here it is and once again behind the screenplay there is Caño  together with  Luis Esquinas, director of JP Simon’s Jigsaw http://spanishfear.com/preview-j-simons-jigsaw/ , the doc on Supersonic Man creator. This is the most Spanish issue of them all, and it presents some surprises as Supersonic Woman.

It can be purchased in a pack with other of the author’s works including La Eneida and other stories and La marcha zombie: Orígenes. You can see a video with these here https://fb.watch/3ezQUi7jIw/
