It is out of the ordinary that an opera prima becomes so successful. This is the case of DISCO INFERNO, first short by Alice Waddington that was shown in many fests around the world- some so important as algunos tan importantes como Sitges, Fantasia, Fantastic Fest and Fant-. These recognitions make it one of the most acclaimed films from this year. It is obvious, its proposal is original and interesting compared to the rest of works that only follow the trends.

The most interesting ting about DISCO  INFERNO is the risk taken by using an experimental narrative technique with the goal of creating an oniric atmosphere. Waddington mixes different genres as mute cinema, musical and surrealism in the way of Roland Topor and Alejandro Jodorowski in order to make us get into a strange and illogical world.  It is a very powerful short visually speaking, which images and characters trap the audience.
